About the Exhibition
Of Frame and Fallow is a one-day Site Seen activation taking place in Esopus, NY on June 27, 2026, open to the public from 6–9 PM. The project continues Site Seen’s mission of activating overlooked, transitional, or underused spaces through contemporary art.
The Esopus site is fully cleared, its prior life removed, leaving an empty condition. With nothing to push against, the space opens differently. It becomes a field rather than a framework.
We are interested in work that can establish presence within that openness, whether through material, form, conceptual framing, or spatial awareness. We welcome submissions across disciplines, including but not limited to sculpture, installation, wall-based work, photography, and interdisciplinary or site-aware practices.
What We Are Looking For
We are especially drawn to work that engages:
Presence within open or unstructured space
Frameworks that are implied, constructed, or withheld
Material clarity, tension, or restraint
Repetition, stillness, duration, or pause
The edge between activation and absence
Spatial intelligence, across the interior and into the surrounding outdoor sculpture garden
Review the Prospectus prior to applying.
Participation
Selected artists will be included in a professionally organized exhibition, with documentation and promotion through Site Seen platforms.
Site Seen is an artist-run nonprofit organization. In the event of artwork sales, a 45% organizational share supports exhibition production, space activation, documentation, and future programming. The remaining 55% is paid directly to the artist.
Final details regarding installation logistics, timeline, participation expectations, and agreement terms will be shared with selected artists.
This is a tightly considered exhibition. Each inclusion is intentional.
If this feels aligned with where your work is headed, we invite you to apply.

Show us what you are making for consideration in Of Frame and Fallow, a one-day Site Seen activation working within an empty condition, where the work defines the structure rather than responding to it.
Submissions may include up to five images.
